AmanFi COOKIE POLICY
How We Use Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Effective Date: January 24, 2026
1. INTRODUCTION
This Cookie Policy explains how AmanFi (also known as Aman Finance) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our platform at aman.finance or use any of our services, including the AmanFi Card, TrueFin Wallet, and D-BaaS community platform.
By clicking “Accept” on our cookie consent banner, you agree to our use of non-essential cookies as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or contacting us.
GDPR Note: For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we only place non-essential cookies after obtaining your explicit consent, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive.
2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use a web application. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
- First-party cookies: Set directly by AmanFi on our domain.
- Third-party cookies: Set by external services we integrate with (e.g., analytics providers).
3. COOKIES WE USE
We categorise the cookies we use into four types. The table below describes each cookie, its purpose, and its retention period.
3.1 Essential Cookies (Always Active — No Consent Required)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. Without them, core features such as logging in, maintaining your session, and protecting your account cannot work. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Stores your authentication token to keep you signed in securely. | 30 days |
| firebase_token | Maintains your Firebase authentication session used for identity verification. | 30 days |
| user-email | Remembers your email address to pre-fill the login form and link your session. | 30 days |
| is_dbas_user | Indicates whether you hold a D-BaaS subscription, used to route you to the correct dashboard and features. | 30 days |
| cookie_consent | Records your cookie consent decision (“accepted”) so we do not show the banner on subsequent visits. | 365 days |
3.2 Performance & Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our platform — which pages are visited most, where users drop off, and how we can improve performance. All data is aggregated and anonymised. They are only placed after you click “Accept”.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Persists session state across page requests for Google Analytics 4 (GA4). | 2 years |
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Data may be transferred to the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
3.3 Functionality Cookies (Essential — No Consent Required)
These cookies remember choices you make to provide a more personalised experience. They are set by AmanFi directly and do not track you across other sites.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| theme | Stores your light/dark mode preference so it persists across visits. | 1 year |
3.4 Marketing Cookies (Consent Required)
AmanFi does not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent before placing any such cookies.
4. YOUR CONSENT AND HOW TO WITHDRAW IT
When you first visit AmanFi, a cookie banner is displayed at the bottom of the screen. By clicking Accept, you consent to the placement of performance and analytics cookies as described in this policy. Essential cookies are placed regardless of your choice, as they are necessary for the platform to operate.
How to withdraw consent or manage cookies
- Clear the consent cookie: Delete the
cookie_consentcookie from your browser's DevTools (Application → Cookies) or clear all site data. The banner will reappear on your next visit. - Browser settings: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Refer to your browser's help documentation (see Section 5 below).
- Opt out of Google Analytics: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics across all websites.
- Contact us: Email info@aman.finance and we will assist you in exercising your rights.
Please note that disabling or deleting essential cookies will prevent you from using core AmanFi features, including logging in and accessing your dashboard.
5. MANAGING COOKIES IN YOUR BROWSER
You can configure your browser to refuse some or all cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. The links below take you to the relevant help pages for the most common browsers:
If you use a mobile device, refer to your device manufacturer or operating system documentation for instructions on managing cookies in mobile browsers.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND THEIR COOKIES
Some cookies on the AmanFi platform are set by third-party service providers we partner with. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies, and we encourage you to review them:
6.1 Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure platform usage and improve user experience. Google may use the data collected to personalise ads across its own network. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on or via your Google account's Ad Settings.
6.2 Firebase (Google LLC)
Firebase Authentication is used to manage user identity. Session tokens stored as cookies are essential to the login process and are not used for advertising. Firebase is governed by Google's Firebase Privacy Policy.
6.3 Payment and Card Partners
When you use features provided by our card issuing or payment processing partners (such as GCB Fintech or GCEX), those third-party services may set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy policies. AmanFi does not control these cookies.
7. DO NOT TRACK
Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, AmanFi does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals, but you can use the consent and browser-based controls described in Sections 4 and 5 to limit tracking.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Some cookies set by third-party providers such as Google Analytics may result in data being transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. AmanFi ensures such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
9. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access information about the cookies placed on your device and the data collected.
- Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time (see Section 4).
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
For full details of your privacy rights, please review our Privacy Policy.
10. CHANGES TO THIS COOKIE POLICY
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will:
- Post the updated policy with a new “Effective Date”.
- Where required, request your consent again via the cookie banner.
- Notify you by email if you have provided your email address.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
